Estimable actor and comedian David Bala has died, according to post on Vasantham channel’s Facebook page.
Best known for playing “Muthu” in films like The Ghosts Must Be Crazy and Just Follow Law (watch video below), David Bala had contributed a prolific 38-year career to the Singapore arts scene.
He won several awards, including the Kalaichemmal (Arts Medallion) from the Singapore Indian Artistes’ Association in 1980, and the Lifetime Achievement Award in the 2009 edition of Vasantham’s Pradhana Vizha.
Singapore will miss its Comedy King.
