Soon, you may very well be welcoming hard rock icons Guns N’ Roses to the concrete jungles of Singapore — if the rumours turn out to be true.
Axl Rose, Slash and co. look to be making their first ever concert here come Feb 25 next year at Changi Exhibition Centre, according to this leaked poster that’s been spreading around recently. Banking giant OCBC seem to be related somehow to the ticket sales, although further details of the concert (Who’s organising? How much are the tickets? Is Axl still trying to get Google to take down his fat photo?) remain shady.

This incarnation of Guns N’ Roses in the Not In This Lifetime tour will consist of a partial core line-up with vocalist Axl Rose (NME’s biggest douchebag in rock), top-hatted six-string sorcerer Slash, and financial adviser/bass guitarist Duff McKagan. The band experienced their prime in the late ’80s/early ’90s ever since their classic record Appetite for Destruction, but went through a series of line-up changes following internal turmoil. They did put out proper songs (okay, not all were good) at their peak though.

The group reunited their classic line-up (kinda) this year for the ongoing Not In This Lifetime tour, and they’ve played in North America so far, with the Latin America, Asia and Oceania legs of the tour coming soon. So Singapore being one of their Asian stops doesn’t seem so farfetched after all. More details surely available soon enough.
