Birthdays are either the best thing ever or the worst day of your life, depending on how old you are. But one man manages to make it an enjoyable experience for everyone around him.
Ice cream vendor Jimmy Teng has once again doled out 1,000 of his frozen treats for free, just because it’s his 72nd birthday today. You may have heard of him before — the Lavender MRT ice cream uncle initially made headlines when he celebrated his 70th birthday by giving out free desserts for the first time.
He’s been selling ice cream at the same spot for more than 10 years, but this is his way of appreciating his customers for their support.
The generous man’s Facebook post alerting customers of his giveaway today garnered happy birthday wishes from netizens, one of whom snapped a photo of him in action and hailed him as a hero.
