Launch date of Singapore’s first Apple Store pushed to end of January 2017

Soz Apple fanboys, you’ll have to wait for a bit longer to enter the sacred glass halls of Cupertino’s curated tech toys that was supposed to open by this year.

Instead, Singapore’s first Apple Store is only expected to open its doors in January next year; three months further than its initial completion date of Oct 31, 2016. Alas, this means that it won’t be open in time for Christmas too.

A recent visit by The Straits Times to the premises at Knightsbridge mall revealed an updated information board that shows the expected completion date of Jan 30. So… just in time for the Chinese New Year holidays?

Apple Singapore is keeping totally mum about the reason for the delay, and it isn’t willing to divulge exactly how it’ll look like either. Regardless, folks will still come to make their pilgrimage and give praise in the cult of Apple.
