A waiter’s deviant desires has landed him eight weeks in prison yesterday for criminal trespass and insulting modesty.
Back in February, Henry Ng Har Leng went into the female toilet at his workplace at Safra Yishun Country Club’s KTV Partyworld and filmed two women who were taking a whizz, The Straits Times reports.
The court heard that the 23-year-old reported for work early on Feb 10 and deliberately sat near the female toilet. He followed a woman into the toilet, squatted outside the occupied cubicle, and used his mobile phone to film her from the bottom of the cubicle door. He wasn’t caught.
Emboldened, he repeated his deed two days later. After seeing a patron leaving KTV Partyworld to use the female toilet, he followed her and tried to pull off the same thing — but was caught.
The woman shouted and gave chase after Ng, managing to see his work attire as he escaped before calling the police. After getting questioned, Ng eventually confessed and two of his mobile phones were seized.
In court, it was revealed that Ng — of borderline intelligence — was diagnosed with paraphilic disorder and had a history of fetishistic conditions, and currently exhibited voyeuristic tendencies.
District Judge Mathew Joseph assured Ng that he’ll be getting treatment for the disorder in prison, and urged him to continue with the treatment after getting released.
