Korean couples app Between is looking to expand into Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.
Having recently reached five million downloads worldwide — marking a 150 percent increase in a year — Between is one of the fastest growing apps of its kind.
Southeast Asia currently makes up seven percent of the downloads, with the majority coming from — duh — South Korea.
The startup says their expansion into the three cities will focus on marketing and localisation and product development will continue to be based out of the Korean headquarters.
Between is also monitoring growth in Indonesia and the Philippines, in the hopes that the app’s growth there will trigger a need to set up office.
