Singapore set a new world record on Sunday at Bishan Stadium, where 2,241 people turned up to take the new Guinness World Records title for the ‘Largest Reunion of People Born at the Same Hospital’. In doing so, all these KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) babies helped to break the record previously held by The Medical City in the Philippines, which set the record on April 12 last year with 1,221 people.
A family carnival was organised as part of the event, which also celebrated the 50th anniversary of KKH being the largest maternity hospital in the world with 39,835 babies born in 1966 (it held that record for an entire decade).
