Kilo Lounge at Kallang to cease operations come 2016

Yet another beloved nightlife joint bites the dust. Say goodbye to the undeniably snazzy stylings of Kilo Lounge, which will be ceasing operations as a night club come 1st Jan 2016.

Apparently the premier club in Kallang had been operating on a temporary nightclub license for some time, but unfortunately the Kampong Bugis area they’re residing in has not been approved for nightlife use.

“Whether it was packing the lounge and dancing your hearts out, or simply swinging by for a late drink or two with your good friends, you made us what we are, and what we will always be,” they wrote on their Facebook page. “It has been a great run, and we’ve accomplished so much more than we could have imagined, thanks to all of you.”

[ANNOUNCEMENT] We have some incredible memories of Kilo Lounge, and while it is sad to say, all good things must come…

It has been close to two years since the Kilo Lounge first opened its doors on the 8th floor of 66 Kampong Bugis, and its Scandinavian decors have played host to a myriad of top notch parties featuring renowned DJs, MCs and other hip acts.

But not to worry, it’s not the end of Kilo Lounge — they’re planning to open up in a new locale by the middle of next year. And their restaurants will still be operating anyway in both Kallang and Orchard so you’ll still be able to dine and sup in typically upscale Kilo calibre.
