In case you’re blinded to the hype, the new Netflix horror flick Bird Box caused quite a wave on the internet. The Sandra Bullock vehicle is not exactly the best movie streaming out there right now (that crown belongs to Alfonso Cuaron’s epic Roma), but it certainly is entertaining. The premise revolves around a plague of mysterious entities that have taken over the planet, and anyone who catches a glimpse of it is driven to suicide — Bullock’s character is on a quest to reach a safe haven with her two children, all while blindfolded.
It may not be the best film, but its plot and visual motifs have sparked the world to share their best memes about Bird Box online. Yeap, Bird Box memes are totally a thing, and even KFC Singapore is getting into the spirit. Here’s a photoshopped image by the fast food chain’s official Facebook account, a corporate attempt at topical internet humor.
The bucket of chicken isn’t exactly a box, but you get the gist. Although local meme page Kiasu Memes For Singaporean Teens did point out that KFC Singapore outlets offer literal boxes of chicken, which is arguably a better fit for the meme.
