Remember that Jetstar April Fools’ Day prank about adopting Singlish as their official language for all local flights? Yeah, they’re really doing it for the lulz this National Day.
No bluff one — the budget airline will be introducing inflight announcements in the local patois on Aug 9, next Tuesday, as part of their National Day celebrations. Both cabin crew and pilots will be going full Singlish following an “unprecedented number of requests” from passengers and fans on social media. Looks like they really want in on what was meant to be a one-off joke:
