A young administrative staff member of Bukit Batok’s Keming Primary School has been sent to the slammer for insulting the modesty of up to 35 women.
Jondave Ong Han Wei was sentenced to 24 weeks in jail for secretly taking videos of women relieving themselves in the common staff toilet of the school, reports The Straits Times.
The 25-year-old had been employed as a school programme executive, performing administrative work. His job scope, however, did not include using cable ties to secure his mobile phone to the sink pipe underneath the basin of a toilet. With the phone camera pointing towards the toilet bowl, he recorded a total of eight videos of female staff over the course of two consecutive days.
The jig was up on the second day of his lecherous transgressions when a staff member spotted the camera and informed the police.
Ong stood in court without a lawyer and pleaded for leniency, stating that his offence was out of character and that he had apologised to the school staff.
