A 27-year-old Indonesian maid has been sentenced to six weeks’ jail for mixing her urine with milk, and giving the drink to her employer’s four-year-old son. Ela, who had been employed for just a month, pleaded guilty on Monday to one of two charges of mischief committed in October last year, according to The Straits Times.
Apparently, when the wife poured water out of a flask to drink, the liquid appeared slightly yellowish. Her mother-in-law and husband both took a sip of the water, and thought it tasted weird. The husband kept the container in his bedroom, and discovered a pungent stench emanating from it the next day. But when pressed about the water, Ela denied having anything to do with it.
Two days later, Ela was found washing out the flask taken from the bedroom. Her employers took her to the maid agency, and she confessed that she had taken some of her urine and mixed it with milk for the child.
