Food delivery riders have a harder job these few weeks thanks to the monsoon season so it’s nice to see them catching a break once in a while. It’s also pretty nice to see that some vendors are showing acts of kindness as well, like this iTea outlet that was pictured offering free bubble tea to GrabFood riders.

In an image shared on Facebook, an iTea outlet (we can only guess that it’s the one at Paya Lebar Square) had a box of bubble tea cups out on its counter with a sign inviting GrabFood riders to grab (hur hur) the free drinks for themselves.

Though the exact date when this was taken is unclear, we can safely presume that it was shot during the period when iTea had a special promotion with GrabFood that enabled customers to purchases three large bubble teas for only a dollar. Knowing Singaporeans and their penchant for cheap deals, both the delivery riders and participating iTea outlets definitely had a busy time juggling the influx of orders.

iTea staff weren’t the only ones being gracious, though. According to one customer who ordered bubble tea via GrabFood last Thursday, a rider personally refunded her for a drink that broke during the course of delivery. Granted, it was just $1.10, but it was his professionalism that impressed the lady.
