Internet freaks out over boy ‘abducted by ghosts’, but he was actually with girlfriend

Singapore has its share of mysterious locations — the Mathilda House, old Changi Hospital, even a flat in Pasir Ris — but so far none of them have sparked off any new stories, not like Johor Bahru’s Villa Nabila in Johor Bahru.

Situated in Danga Bay — a place listed by Expedia as one of Malaysia’ most haunted locations and oddly enough, also a waterfront hotbed for multi billion-dollar development projects — Villa Nabila recently came into the spotlight for having turned a 23-man ghost-hunting group of friends completely haywire.

Yahoo Singapore reported on Nov. 19 that the group had reportedly gone missing after venturing into the famous bungalow — everyone save for one was later found in varying states of distress, including hysteria and unconsciousness.

Naturally, netizens have been going crazy speculating on the incident, especially the fate of the last missing boy. Several shared their “knowledge” of Villa Nabila, with some mentioning that entering it in groups of odd numbers was unlucky.

A recent report by The Star Online reveals the missing boy Mohammad Izzat has been found, though. He had been at a friend’s place with his girlfriend.

Police are denying the incident at Villa Nabila even happened.
