IKEA Singapore recalls their LATTJO drumsticks over potential choking hazard

Another oddly named IKEA product has been ordered for a recall for safety reasons. One of their toys — the LATTJO drum sticks — is found to be a potential choking risk, and all those who’ve bought it are urged to bring them back to stores here.

Apparently, six reports from IKEA store co-workers have been made about the toy in which the rubber ball of the drumsticks can be detached or unscrewed. “The design may attract younger children than the recommended age usage 6+ and once unscrewed this may lead to a choking risk,” IKEA Singapore wrote in a statement.

No crisis yet as no incidents have been reported, but IKEA aren’t taking any risks. “Despite approved tests we are therefore precautionary recalling LATTJO drum sticks and LATTJO tongue drum to avoid any incidents,” they said.

Receipt or no receipt, the toys can be returned for a full refund at any IKEA store. Maybe get them some proper drumsticks and a kit when they’re older.
