Ikea Singapore is recalling eight brands of children’s bed canopies due to a strangulation threat.
The affected bed canopies are BARNSLIG BOLL, FABLER, HIMMEL, KLAMMIG, LEGENDARISK, MINNEN bed canopy set, MINNEN Brodyr and TISSLA.
In a statement, Ikea urged its customers to immediately stop using the canopies and return them to the store for a full refund.
While no injuries have been reported so far, the furniture company has received reports of entanglement around the necks of infants and when the fabric/net is pulled into the cribs/beds.
