Fortunately for the students of Nanyang Technological University (NTU), there weren’t any classes in session when a huge chunk of false ceiling in a lecture theatre caved in and fell onto the seats below it on Monday morning.

The Straits Times said that a student noticed the crazy mess from the collapsed ceiling at the back of Lecture Theatre 1 and called the NTU’s Fault Reporting Centre at 9:16am. No injuries were reported, according to the school.

The affected lecture theatre — located near the Lee Wee Nam library — is currently under repair, and will be closed for at least a month. For now, NTU’s management will continue to investigate the cause of the collapse and check the false ceilings at other lecture theatres.
