Huge monitor lizard stomps across Singapore Grand Prix circuit; will not be charged

Last year’s Grand Prix season had a dumbass wandering across the Marina Bay circuit just to take a photo, and yesterday’s race fared no different in terms of outlandish invaders.

Amidst a race involving the fastest cars in the world, a huge monitor lizard stomped onto the Singapore Grand Prix circuit during final practice.

“There’s a giant lizard on the track,” exclaimed startled driver Max Verstappen of the Red Bull team. “You came face to face with Godzilla,” replied the driver’s engineer.

Unlike the dude who stupidly scrambled on the circuit last year, authorities wouldn’t be able to sentence the nonchalant reptile with six weeks in jail for breaching security fences.

The lizard now joins the hall of fame alongside fellow exotic wildlife who’ve made track incursions in the past. Foxes and groundhogs are a common sight at Canada’s Gilles Villeneuve circuit in Montreal; deers have appeared in the Austrian circuit; stray dogs caused a bit of danger at India’s Buddh circuit; snakes have slithered across the asphalts in Malaysia; and a cat ran out in front of cars at Azerbaijan’s debut race this year.
