A new five-star hotel will be part of the upcoming integrated lifestyle development DUO Residences slated for completion in 2017.
Situated on the 39-storey commercial tower of the complex along Ophir-Rochor Road, the hotel will be in close proximity to popular haunts like Arab Street, Kampong Glam, Beach Road and other integrated developments in the downtown core of Singapore, such as the upcoming mega lifestyle complex on South Beach.
The 2.7ha site, which has already seen a strong demand for its 660 residential units during its preview launch on Nov. 13, will also comprise a boutique retail gallery, grade-A office spaces and will boast amenities such as a sky garden signature restaurant with an observation deck overseeing the city-state’s skyline at the top floor.
It is also built to meet Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority’s (BCA) Green Mark Scheme by implementing green strategies in its construction — evident from the building’s placement against prevailing sun and wind angles and in its design to bring about cooler microclimates within the shaded outdoor areas.
DUO residences is designed by internationally acclaimed German architect film Buro Ole Sheeren — the same architects behind the Angkasa Raya in Kuala Lumpur.
