But instead of getting some decent shawarma for their efforts, they were rewarded with something significantly better — a five-day trip to South Korea.
Shin Min Daily News reports that the intrepid lads who helped rescue 35-year-old Kim Sung Mo were treated to lunch by the Korean Association in Singapore last week. In addition to the free lunch, Asiana Airlines sponsored an all-expenses-paid trip for each of the men who rushed in to save Kim.
The lucky victim managed to escape with a leg fracture and underwent surgery at Tan Tock Seng hospital, while the 25-year-old lorry driver was arrested by the police.
