Here’s a map of Singapore in its funniest, most politically incorrect form

If there was ever a map that dissects Singapore into its basest form, this would be it — one that charts what each neighbourhood is most popularly known for, good or bad.

Be honest — who hasn’t thought of Yishun as the place where you find murderers and siao langs, Pasir Ris as solely for booking in to camp, Queenstown as where you get sports shoes and Jurong East as the one in possession of the worst MRT station? This is all thanks to the politically incorrect folks of HardwareZone’s Eat Drink Man Woman sub-forum, which was surfaced by a Redditor on /r/Singapore.

The more you scan through the map, the funnier it gets. Like how the edge of Punggol is termed ‘Slumgol’, Lavender is just a place to make passports, Newton is where you get ripped off eating eight prawns for $239 and Holland Village is where the SPGs roam. Those living nearer to Botanic Gardens are ‘Rich People’ while those in Upper Bukit Timah are the ‘Not-so-rich People’.
