There’s nothing that can ruin your first few hours of 2019 quite like the panic of missing the night’s last bus and the dawning realization as you swipe through ride-hailing apps that you’ll be $50 short by the time you finally get home. So if you’d like to avoid all that frustration and stay in a celebratory mood, keep in mind the extended hours for trains and buses across the island on Dec 31. Or rather, the early morning hours of Jan 1.

SMRT will be extending its services on the North-South, East-West, and Circle Lines, as well as Bukit Panjang LRT, alongside selected bus routes.

Here’s the info for train lines.

And here’s the operational hours for buses at heartland interchanges.

Plus, don’t forget that buses will skip several bus stops around the Marina Bay area, where all the main New Year’s Eve action takes place.

On the SBS Transit side, the North East Line and Downtown Line will also run later than usual.

Multiple buses departing from interchanges, terminals, and bus stops will continue chugging along way after midnight as well.

In addition, both transport operators will have revised hours for several bus services on NYE.

Party it up but stay safe, folks!
