It’s customary for Singaporeans to go for short trips across the Malaysian border during extended weekends, and with that comes crazy long traffic jams.

This Good Friday long weekend promises to be no different, and the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) is gearing up for massive traffic at both the Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints.

ICA warned that the traffic flow will be particularly heavy from Thursday onwards, and it has advised motorists to check the traffic situation at both land checkpoints before embarking on their journey.

Other tips for a (relatively) easier trip: Make sure you actually have valid passports and that you don’t bring prohibited items into or out of the country. Basically, have some common sense, folks.
