Remember when we reported that some scenes in the third season of sci-fi series Westworld would be shot in Singapore?
Well, we’ve now learned that the cast and crew of the HBO series are already in Singapore, and stars Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, and Tommy Flanagan have been updating their social media with plenty of shots from around town.
Hint: It involves a lot of sightseeing.
Sporting a summery number with bright yellow bananas, leading lady Wood posed for a picture next to the hand-painted lion statue at Haw Par Villa, Singapore’s strange but beautiful OG theme park.

She also shared a candid snap of herself walking among the lush greenery of the Orchid Garden in the Singapore Botanic Gardens, the city’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The actress also brought the glamour to what appears to be the ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands and stopped for a coffee break at the Central Perk Café. “Code Red! This is a Friends-themed coffee shop,” she captioned the find.

Co-star Jeffrey Wright, meanwhile, took to our crystal blue waters to snag this artsy shot of a boat. “Beauty in the eye,” he captioned the photo. While he didn’t reveal precisely where he was, the post was geo-tagged Changi. A day trip to Pulau Ubin island perhaps?

Flanagan, known for his role in Sons of Anarchy, went airborne for a shot from a plane high over town, writing: “Landing in Singapore #Westworld goes east.”

The hit series has been asking hard-hitting (if not always easy to follow) questions about the use of artificial intelligence since the first episode aired in 2016. Season 3 will see the characters head out of the confines of the Westworld park and out into the “real world,” where those questions will become even more interesting.
Based on a previous casting call, it is understood that filming in Singapore began on Monday and will wrap on July 9. Yahoo Entertainment previously reported that filming is likely to take place at Robinson Road, between Maxwell Road and Boon Tat Street this Sunday from 6am to 2pm.
If you’ve ever wanted to rub elbows with the glitterati, you know where to go.
