Our hazy troubles continue to press on, as the Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) range kicks into Very Unhealthy range today.
The torrent of rain yesterday evening (but it’s not due to cloud seeding apparently) might have alleviated haze conditions last night, but the situation continues to be pretty grim this afternoon with the 3-hour PSI going into 205, the low end of the Very Unhealthy tier.

Folks in the western regions right now are getting the brunt of the haze, with PSI levels at 213 as of writing. Though it would be considered an improvement for them — it almost went into the Hazardous range yesterday in the west:

“The 24-hr PSI for the next 24 hours is expected to be in the mid to high sections of the Very Unhealthy range,” says the National Environmental Agency. Also, do note that you’ll have to point your finger at someone else now if you’re mad about the deteriorating conditions of the haze — Masagos Zulkifli has taken over Dr Vivian Balakrishnan as the Minister of Environment and Water Resources.
