Plans are in the pipeline for tech giant Google to launch a digital leadership and marketing programme to equip 1,000 business leaders of Singapore’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) sector.

The company will work with UK-based training provider AVADO, as well as SPRING Singapore and the Infocomm Media Development Authority to host the Squared Online course to cultivate the next generation of digital leaders in Singapore.

As for what’s included in the programme, it will equip companies with the knowledge and skills to better their in-house digital marketing, as well as provide online resources such as classes on search engine marketing and analytics to help businesses reach global consumers.

About 120 participants can sign up for each cohort, and Google hopes to train 1,000 leaders by the time 2019 rolls around.
