Three women believed to have been involved in an islandwide stealing spree were finally caught on May 25, 5:30pm, after officers from the Clementi Police Division responded to a call originating from a shopping mall located along Harbourfront Walk.
The police recovered about $2876.40 worth of apparel believed to have been stolen by the suspects.
CCTV footage and a very cooperative store manager helped police come to the conclusion, that the suspects may have be involved in other shop thefts prior to their arrest.
The women will be charged in court on May 27 for their misdeeds. If found guilty, they will each face a maximum jail term of seven years’ imprisonment, or fined, or both.
