Glenn Ong quits radio career to become Director at hospitality consulting firm

Following the surprising departure of popular radio DJ Glenn Ong from MediaCorp last week, the longtime broadcast personality has immediately got back to work, but now as a Director at hospitality service consultancy firm CIR VIS.

TODAY reports that Ong will be providing his expertise in driving up the profile of the firm’s events and management sectors — something that Ong should be more than familiar with as a veteran host in MediaCorp for 19 years. He will also be in charge of expanding the firm’s regional and international business.

In a Facebook post, CIR VIS founder Chris Glaessel enthuses that “a great partnership has started”. On his end, the former radio personality expressed his excitement to be part of a company that is passionate about pushing forward Singapore’s role in the global service industry.

Prior to Ong’s resignation, MediaCorp saw a recent spate of beloved long-time celebrities leaving the company, including funnyman Gurmit Singh and The Flying Dutchman himself Mark van Cuylenburg.
