A heated altercation in the streets of Geylang yesterday ended with a driver using his car to push a woman out of his way as she vented her anger on his mirror.
Footage of the furious duo shows a woman arguing and pointing at the driver of a black Mercedes who retaliates by screaming into her face. Their reason for their quarrel was unclear and their identities unknown, but some shade over nationality was definitely thrown.
“This is Singapore, not China!” the man can be heard shouting in Mandarin.
After a lot of finger-wagging from her and a step-off chest bump from him, the man returned to his car and attempted to drive away. That prompted the woman to swiftly stand in front of it, apparently trying to butt-block his departure. Undeterred, the man pressed the accelerator to slowly move forward and physically push her out of his way, nearly knocking her down.
She responded in kind by slapping his side mirror as the man sped away.
Singapore is no stranger to episodes of road fury, with a similar May incident at a school where a Bentley driver tried to run over a security guard. Then there was the very angry woman who tore a license plate from a van and yeeted it last month.
