It’s been a day since the nominations were confirmed yesterday afternoon, and already the various candidates and party members have rolled out their share of pamphlets, fake smiles, derogatory remarks, ambitious promises and other faces that make a typical Singapore General Election.
Tonight however is when the party really gets started — the two biggest factions here are set to hold the first rallies to kick off the season of rabble-rousing.
The ruling People’s Action Party (PAP) will be taking the Radin Mas Single Member Constituency to task at the Delta Hockey Pitch along Tiong Bahru Road tonight at 7pm.

Meanwhile on the north-eastern side of the island, Workers’ Party will be rallying for the Hougang Single Member Constituency at the open field in front of Block 837 at Hougang Central, which will kick off at 7pm as well.

Due to the large crowds expected, police have advised folks to take public transport instead of driving. It may be tempting to bring your drones to take pictures from above, but unfortunately they aren’t allowed any of the rallies for safety reasons.
Stay tuned for more updates on the various rallies that’ll be taking place in the upcoming days.
