GE2015 Google Maps tool updated to include various election rally sites and how to get there

Sometimes we really can’t give an iota of a hoot towards the latest happenings in the upcoming General Election (all our choices almost always boil down to giant douches and turd sandwiches anyway), but when we do care, we can always rely on people like Yudhishthra Nathan and Jinhua Kuek.

Nathan, the enterprising Singaporean youth who’s really invested in this year’s elections (and probably has a lot of time on his hands), previously published a Google Maps tool that would allow you to check out the redrawn constituencies and its various representing Members of Parliament. It even allows you to check out how the electoral boundaries have changed since the last General Election back in 2011, and thus an interactive display of this fancy concept called gerrymandering

It is Kuek, however, who has leveratged on the boundaries map layer and come up a newfangled update that should be your go-to resource if you’re intending to head over to the election rallies across the island. There’s a wealth of information that has been painstakingly detailed out, including which party’s holding the rally, where exactly they are and how to get there. Absolutely stunning work really — you’ll need to bookmark this one if you’re planning to attend any of them in the next several days.

The original version of this story attributed the rally site to Yudhishthra Nathan. It was made by Jinhua Kuek on top of Nathan’s boundaries map layer. We regret our error.
