A Singapore-based geek-out platform wants to make the dream (or at least one of the dreams) of Game of Thrones (GOT) fans happen.
Geek Crusade co-founded by former Straits Times Life! journalist Nicholas Yong is organising a themed dinner at the No Menu Restaurant (Boon Tat Street) on April 13, 7:30pm, in anticipation of the Season 4 premiere.
The menu prepared by Michelin-starred chef Osvaldo Forlino consists of a summer green salad, mushroom soup with nails, braised boar belly with apple sauce or almond crusted trout with poached parsley potato, and pear poached in wine.
On their website, Geek Crusade explains why this is a GOT-themed dinner:
In the GOT books, there are rich, detailed descriptions of the different cuisines from the Seven Kingdoms. At our dinner, each of the dishes is inspired by specific lines from the books. For example, almond crusted trout comes from A Storm of Swords – “…while the wedding guests ate trout cooked in a crust of crushed almonds.”
Tickets are $95 for dinner and $120 for dinner, a drink and two glasses of wine. Early bird discounts apply before March 8.

This GOT themed dinner is part of Geek Crusade’s Dinner is Coming, a series of pop-culture themed meals that aims to bring connect fans over food featured in books and shows, as well as good old-fashioned conversation.
