Russian photographer Vitaly Raskalov is renowned for his love of vertigo.
The video of him climbing the 632-metre-tall Shanghai Tower with daredevil partner Vadim Makhorov using no safety devices was only uploaded a few days ago on Feb. 12, but has since attracted over 19 million views.
What’s even more interesting though, is that in January last year, Raskalov had attempted a similar feat in Singapore, at the Swissotel the Stamford, to be precise. Raskalov had, in his own words “entered the roofs illegally” before he realised how strict Singapore’s laws were. “As it turned out, you can easily spend up to one year in prison for breaking a lock and additionally you can be beaten with sticks,” he’d said in his photo description.
Check out the photo he shot at the top of Swissotel the Stamford, which used to be the tallest hotel building in Singapore at 226 metres, as well as other aerial pictures he’d taken during his trip. The rest of his Singapore gallery can be viewed on his Livejournal page.
