TikTok CEO Chew Shou Zi (who is, despite some speculation to the contrary, definitely Singaporean) was seen enjoying a casual day out with his family recently.

A TikTok, which has garnered over 200,000 views since it was posted yesterday, shows Chew having an exhilarating time driving around in a bumper car with his kids at VivoCity.

“Spotted TikTok CEO @Shou! I was too shy to ask for a pic because I don’t wish to disturb his family time,” TikTok user May Ng wrote.

Users on his platform complimented Chew for his grey and pink outfit from Uniqlo which is a staple fashion brand for most Singaporeans. One said that his enjoyment of the ride was “so Singaporean” while others simped over him.

He was also praised for being a “great dad” while others said Ng was “lucky” to have seen him.

Some joked that he could’ve built the entire bumper car range in his home. Others tried to be punny.

Chew was born and raised in Singapore, though some refuse to believe it because of his accent.

He gained fame after appearing in an intense five-hour hearing where he testified before the United States Congress to defend his video-sharing platform against accusations that it was a threat to their national security.
