No, you don’t have to be crazy enough to run onto the Singapore Grand Prix tracks to immerse yourself in high-speed racing — a new go-kart circuit just opened its doors at Turf City.
Flesh out your Mario Kart dreams in real life in The Karting Arena at Bukit Timah, Singapore’s first ever electric karting track. The 500m-long track opened last week as a family-oriented circuit, meaning those without driving licences can also race down the asphalt at speeds of up to 30km/h. Licensed drivers can go a little bit faster at 50km/h, The Straits Times reports.

$25 will net you a single session of eight minutes, which would mean at least seven laps around the track — but surely you’d go faster than that. The Karting Arena is also open to bookings for corporate and private events, which starts at $1,498 per hour.

Oh, and if you want something more safer but no less immersive, you can train your skills on their racing simulators — complete with bucket seats and gaming steering wheels — all from the comfort of an air-conditioned lounge. More details on The Karting Arena website and Facebook page.
