A former primary school vice-principal has been charged in court on Monday (Sept 4) for several sexual offences that he committed against a 14-year-old boy at his workplace and home. According to court documents, the first incident occurred in 2003, when the man touched the boy’s private parts in a primary school gym, reported Channel NewsAsia.

Similar incidents of his indecent acts on the boy happened in 2004 at the 55-year-old’s flat in Woodlands, as well as again in 2005 and 2006, when he engaged in oral sex with the boy. It was not revealed whether the student was studying at the school at the time of the first occurrence, reported TODAY.

The man, who cannot be named to protect the victim’s identity, faces 11 charges — six for the offence of carnal intercourse, three for committing indecent acts on a minor and two under the Films Act.

He will return to court on Oct 4.

If convicted of carnal intercourse, he can be jailed for a maximum of 10 years and fined, for each charge. First-time offenders who commit an indecent act on a minor can face up to five years in jail, a fine of up to $10,000, or both for each charge.

If convicted of possessing an obscene film, he can be slapped with a fine of $1,000 for each film, jailed up to a year, or both. For owning an uncensored film, he can be fined $100 for each film.
