Look away, car nuts. An accident that involved six vehicles took place along Upper Thomson Road yesterday afternoon, with the most prominent object in the aftermath appearing to be a totally wrecked Ford Mustang.

Two buses, four cars, and a van were involved in the pile-up that police were alerted to about 3:08pm. A police spokesman confirmed in a statement that three people — two men and a woman — were conveyed conscious to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for treatment.

But don’t jump the gun and assume that the massive traffic catastrophe was caused by a speeding sports car. According to a Facebook post by witness Lim Lian Chin William, the accident was caused by the driver of a Toyota Fielder who apparently collided into the other stationary vehicles. The Toyota driver claimed that his brakes weren’t working, noted Lim.
