The sudden appearance of a wild boar yesterday on the Ayer Rajah Expressway after the Tuas Checkpoint resulted in an accident that saw two people hospitalized and the beast dead.

Just one day later, another wild boar was spotted along Lentor Avenue this morning. The creature also caused a traffic accident, this time involving two cars and a van, reported The Straits Times.

The police were notified of the incident in the direction of Yishun around 7am, and the Singapore Civil Defence Force brought three people aged between 17 and 53 to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital for minor back pain, said Channel NewsAsia.

In pictures circulating online, the wild boar appeared to be lying motionless beside a badly damaged car, but it’s unclear if the animal was killed.

Police investigations are ongoing.
