Don’t be alarmed if you see flashing light at Victoria Street junction

Following a trial that muddled some Singapore motorists earlier this year, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) has announced that they’ve installed the city’s first digital red light inforcement camera at the junction of Victoria Street by Arab Street towards Lavender.

They’ve advised drivers not to be alarmed when they see a flashing light as the feature is just a functional test for the new device.

In a statement, SPF reveals more junctions — namely those at Lavender Street by Jalan Besar towards Balestier Road, Ophir Road by Beach Road towards East Coast Parkway (ECP), Victoria Street by Ophir Road towards Bras Basah Road and Victoria Street by Rochor Road towards Lavender Street — will soon be fitted with the new camera.
