Fire broke out at Mandarin Orchard Singapore last night, 350 evacuated

Things on Orchard Road keep catching on fire. Just yesterday morning, Tang Plaza’s third storey roof caught on fire and 100 people vacated the building, reported Channel NewsAsia

According to another account by Channel NewsAsia, last night, just down the road, a fire broke out at Mandarin Orchard Singapore’s sixth floor kitchen around 11.40pm. 350 guests were quickly evacuated to the space at *SCAPE — one 69-year-old Caucasian man was injured — and the Singapore Civil Defence Force extinguished the blaze in half an hour. Both causes are under investigation.

These unfortunate incidents come after a deluge of fires on Orchard Road last year, involving a Christmas tree outside Knightbridge mall, a kitchen in Lucky Plaza, and a carpark at Orchard Plaza
