Finders keepers: Local app company stashes $800 at NTU for one lucky person to spot

In what sounds like a ‘too good to be true’ scam, a local app company has actually hidden $800 somewhere on the grounds of Nanyang Technological University. For reals.

Sqkii announced earlier this week that it stashed a ‘mouse’ worth $800 on the NTU campus, and it’s been revealing hints of the money’s location ever since. (Okay, so it may not be a box of gold bars or cold hard cash, but it is a shiny little gold coin that you can exchange for $800 in cash.)

If you’re feeling a pinch of déjà vu about this, it’s probably because Sqkii did the same thing last November at NUS and NTU.

Of course, NTU students familiar with the area will have an advantage, but anyone can #HuntTheMouse, really. Just keep tabs on Sqkii’s Facebook page, where bi-hourly hints will drop over the next few days (or until the money has been seized).

Interesting marketing strategy, this one.
