Highly sought after Tamil blockbusterVeeram finally showed at Rex Cinema today after screenings were cancelled yesterday due to a permissions fault.
According to Channel NewsAsia, about 100 unhappy movie-goers gathered outside the cinema and the police had to be called in.
Coconuts Singapore understands there was also a gathering of upset patrons at Golden Mile Tower around the same time.
The cinema finally received permission to screen the film at 2:30am this morning and invited patrons that were earlier rejected to obtain their refund or watch the show at new timeslots, 11:45am and noon.
There will be more screenings of Veeram today at 6pm, 6.15pm, 9pm, 9.30pm, midnight and 12.30am.
