Viral post about unapologetic woman who pushed toddler down sparks xenophobic resentment

A mother had the unfortunate experience of having her child ploughed into by an inconsiderate individual, who she claims to have remained unapologetic even after the poor two-year-old “fell flat on the ground”.

The mum took to Facebook to recount her brush with an allegedly ill-mannered lady who not only stepped on the foot of her child, but also pushed down another lady who’d been taking pictures of her own child.

“She saw my Bb was lying on the ground, but instead of helping and being sorry, she just walked away. I called out to her and told her off. She turned (around), looked down at my baby, looked at me, rolled her eyes and walked away,” the accuser wrote.

Further attempts to rebuke the stranger’s uncivil attitude went ignored, and the lady’s husband even stepped in to defend her actions.

“When I told him what the wife did – stepped on a 2 yr old foot, pushed him and made him fall, turned (around), looked at him and walked away…

He laughed and the wife then shouted at me, ‘So what do you want? Do you want me to announce via PA and apologise?'”

But as with all viral posts on social media, undeserved criticisms on race and country of origin reared its head. We’re all for #justiceporn against unrepentant assholes, but jeez internet commenters, enough with the xenophobic generalisations.
