Croatian duo Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser, known as the 2Cellos, will play at The Star Theatre on May 22.
The classically-trained duo was discovered after their cello-only cover of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” (watch video below) became an instant hit on YouTube, garnering over 3 million views within the first two weeks.
That video resulted in a personal invitation by Sir Elton John to be part of his 2011 Summer Tour.
2Cellos have two albums under their belt — a debut eponymous album (2011), featuring covers of popular rock songs, and In2ition (2013), which went to the top of the Japanese Album Charts.
Tickets for 2Cellos — Live in Singapore are available via Sistic from 9am onwards on March 30.
