Hari Raya weekend is just days away and a henna tattoo customer wanted to look extra chic but ended up with a “bad” experience at Geylang Bazaar.
The anonymous user, who shared her story with Instagram page Sgfollowsall yesterday, said she showed the artist at one of the Bazaar’s henna stalls a design she wanted which consists of stars and moons that looked relatively difficult to recreate. It drew similarities to the monogram designs of luxury brand Louis Vuitton.
“She said “Of course cannn, no problem, moon and stars so cutee!” Expectation vs Reality! LOL! Ya right, now becomes MY problem! Hahaha,” she wrote.
“I don’t know whether to laugh or cry but gotta share this here because I kinda find it amusing! Hahaha, it was so baddd that I laughed it out hard on my way home! 🤣” she added.
She said the artist was drawing with “so much passion and confidence” as if she was a “pro.”
After it was done, she went straight to the toilet to wash it away before it dried and lasted for at least two weeks. It’s like literally “washing money down the drain,” she said.
Several users were more baffled about her choice of design.
“The hell kind of henna design is this 💀💀💀,” Nrlriaaa wrote.
Some suggested that the design could only be pulled off if stencils were used.
“Well if you want precise shapes like that, might as well buy ur own henna paste and buy those stickers with shape holes for you to draw ur henna in. I believe it’ll give you neater results,” Ilost_my_shoe wrote.
