Ex-chief of Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) Ng Boon Gay has retired from public service since Jan. 29 by the Public Service Commission following the conclusion of his disciplinary proceedings.
According to Channel NewsAsia, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said that his retirement is in the interest of the public.
Last year, Ng faced four corruption charges for obtaining sexual favours from Cecilia Sue in exchange for furthering business interests of her former employers but was acquitted in February.
