Herpetophobians, look away. A small corner in Nanyang Technological University (NTU) today turned into an open-air arena between two reptilian species both feared and revered by humans.
The clash between two titans of the NTU ecosystem was one that would be echoed in the future and yonder in ballads and other archived sagas. A king cobra wrestled for supremacy with an equally powerful python, and it looks like it was a pretty matching display of strength and cunning.
The epic battle was captured by Abhishek Ambede, who lived to tell the tale and sent his photos to the NTU Graduate Student Council Facebook page.

Unfortunately the battle did not end with one superior snake eating the other, like all snake fights are wont to do. One was taken away by NTU pest control personnel while the other lived to snake fight another day and slithered into the bushes. Perhaps one day they will meet again and finally put an end to their ancestral conflict.
