Eduardo Saverin posts picture with Lee Hsien Long

It’s been a while since we last heard from Facebook co-founder and party boy Eduardo Saverin — sixth richest person in Singapore according to a Forbes 2014 list — so it’s nice to know that he is still alive, kicking and in town.

The 33-year-old billionaire was at the Istana last night where he met Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

“I was impressed by his enthusiasm and dedication to spark and nourish the local entrepreneurial spirit,” he writes. “His foresight will pay Singapore dividends as it continues it evolution into a Smart Nation, where technology plays a key role is improving the safety, productivity and standard of living of its people.”

Singapore is currently hosting the super exclusive Founders Forum — the first Asian country to do so — an invite-only event for technopreneurs described as ‘the Davos of tech’.

“The focus topic for this first Singapore event will be our ‪#‎SmartNation‬ vision and how the resulting technologies created for it have the potential to change life for the better not just in Singapore, but for other cities and countries around the globe,” explains PM Lee on his Facebook account.
