Publishing house Edipresse Singapore announced yesterday that one of their offerings Appetite magazine is no longer.
In their Facebook post, the company explained revenue made from the food magazine was not sufficient to justify its continued publication. Edipresse also compared their situation with other food magazines like Gourmet, which apparently had to close after a 60-year run.
“While it is never easy to close any title, we believe that this move is a positive one as it allows us to focus on our core titles in the premium and luxury segment,” the note said.
According to Edipresse, titles like Singapore Tatler and Singapore’s Best Restaurants had been successful in 2013, each exceeding their revenue target.
