Arsenic — that toxic heavy metal which caused the deaths of Napoleon Bonaparte and the Guanxu Emperor — has been found in an ointment that markets itself as “Malaysia’s #1 Traditional Eczema Remedy”.
The Health Sciences Authority has warned the public to stop using TCM Recipe’s Licozen Ointment, as it says it contains high level of arsenic and, therefore, could be dangerous, according to Channel NewsAsia.
